An impressive list of approximately 100 human resource professionals and senior executives from Chinese and multinational organizations were on hand at the Smith School's Conference Center in Shanghai for the 2008 Training and Development Forum. The one-day event was co-hosted by Smith and HRoot, a leading Chinese HR media outlet.

The event included four presentations and a luncheon talk where prominent professionals and business practitioners shared insights into employee training and development strategy formulation and execution. Attendees explored challenges and possible resolutions in building successful training systems, as well as shared personal experiences.

Among the presenters were Mr. Robert Parkinson, general manager of Antal International (China); Dr. Xu Wang, director of the CIIC Assessment Center; Ms. Emma Wu, training and development manager for Honeywell's Asia-Pacific region; and Ms. Linda Wang, training director at Sanofi Aventis and a Smith Executive MBA program participant.
