The Smith School delivers degree and non-degree programs on four continents, including Asia, North America, Europe and Northern Africa, supporting the school's curriculum, which emphasizes the multicultural aspects of management. This is a vital element for China as the country continues its rapid transition into a global economic powerhouse. Smith students have the opportunity to work on projects and simulations with U.S.-based students from the Smith School, in Beijing and Shanghai, and around the world.
Europe & Northern Africa
In addition to its programs in Beijing and Shanghai, the Smith School delivers degree and non-degree programs at four locations in the U.S., as well as in Zurich, Switzerland and Tunis, Tunisia.
Through a partnership with the Graduate School of Business Administration Zurich (GSBA), the Smith school delivers a DDG Executive MBA program (SMITH-GSBA DDG-EMBA). Chinese, U.S. and other international students in the program have the opportunity to take classes and work with businesses in Asia, Europe North America, and Northern Africa.
The Smith School's base in Northern Africa is Tunisia, where the school delivers an Masters of Science Degree in Management of Information Systems and Technology (MIST). The year-long program is offered through the school's partnership with the Mediterranean School of Business (MSB) at South Mediterranean University in Tunis. Like participants in Smith's other international programs, the Tunis EMTM students participate in classes in China, the U.S. and Europe.
A key aspect of each of these global programs is that the same world-renowned faculty members teaching at the main University of Maryland campus travel to teach in other countries.
